What to Expect During Your Newborn Session

Congratulations On Your New Baby!

As moms, we understand how magical this fleeting newborn stage is.

We also know you want a relaxed session with a little direction and guidance, and a focus on the love and connection your family shares.

Now that you’ve booked your session, you’re probably wondering what to expect.

Let’s get to it!

THE BASICS

Your newborn session will take place in the comfort of your own home and will last between 2-3 hours. There will be plenty of time for diaper changes, feeding breaks, and soothing and Carolyn will stay until she has captured all of the shots you hoped for.

The Memories

This is a great time to pull out your favorite blankets, outfits and accessories. They’ll make documenting this moment in life extra special, and you’ll think of the loved ones who gifted them to you or the time you spent carefully selecting them while waiting for your new addition to arrive.

The whole family will be included - we especially love multigenerational newborn sessions!

The Sleep Situation

What if baby needs a nap? That’s quite alright! Remember, we’re on baby’s schedule…and we’re all about capturing some sweet snoozy moments!

The Options

If it’s warmer weather, we can take a walk outside to explore your neighborhood or spend some time in your backyard. It’s always fun to include a variety of settings whenever possible.

After the shoot

So now you may be wondering…what happens after?

You can expect a gallery with all of your best photos in both color and black & white within approximately 7-14 days. From there, you select the images and products you’d like to purchase and we handle the rest!
